For us, the word Doll used to conjure up images of young girls playing in the garden on a summers afternoon. Pigtails and tea parties. Puppies and Kitties. That kind of thing. You'd never catch us playing with dolls. At least not in public.
All that macho nonsense has gone out the window now though because a quick glance around the office will reveal a profusion of dolls. Not your standard Barbie pink blondes with handbags though. Not even those freaky porcelain dolls you see at car boot sales. The IwantIwant office has gone Uglydoll crazy!
What's an Uglydoll?
The Uglydoll characters were created by artists David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. They're featured around the world in white hot fashion boutiques like Barney's New York and museum stores such as the London Design Museum and The Museum of Contemporary Art in LA. The hand made plush dolls are loved by celebrity fans everywhere. Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, Nelly and Tom Cruise have all been snapped with their favourite plush collectables.
Each Uglydoll has his or her own personality, they all come with their own stories and unique look which is why they appeal to all demographics.
